The Newport News Council of PTAs is committed to the safety and welfare of students everywhere. Therefore, we
will offer a $100 grant to each high school Parent Teacher Student Association in Newport News that will host
an After Prom celebration for their high school this year.
To submit an application for this grant, your PTA local unit must be in good standing according to the
Newport News Council of PTAs (the criteria can be located here:
Good Standing Status), as well as according to the State and National PTA organizations. Additionally, the application
for this grant must include a budget for the After Prom activities.
We encourage all local high school PTA units to participate. All applications must be received by May 1.
The check will be issued/mailed to the contact person listed and it MUST be deposited before June 15
or it will be considered void.
